Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

This narrative began simply enough: One morning I began reading from The Sermon on the Mount by Emmet Fox, and my journaling took on a completely different character from the rambling, sometimes whining reflections that typically clutter my mind.
On the morning of Thursday, November 11, 2004, I felt a Spirit come through as I was writing, clear and strong, dictating in complete sentences. I did not feel as though I were in an altered state, but alert and focused.
Fox recommends:
As you read the Bible, you should constantly affirm that Divine Wisdom is enlightening you.
It is with that conscious affirmation that I submit this journal.
For sake of attribution, the Spirits commentary is in italics. Favorite quotes and callouts from the text are in the sidebar at right. |
